The California Conference of Directors of Environmental Health (CCDEH) hosts an annual Data Summit where environmental health professionals can expand their knowledge, learn about state and local initiatives and goals, check out successful IT projects, earn continuing education units, and learn more about right minded data management consistent with the CCDEH goals across the state.

Sessions involve various technical materials applicable for directors, program managers, and IT professionals working within Environmental Health.

In an effort to make the CCDEH Data Summit as accessible as possible, this year the CCDEH IT Committee chose to use a virtual format.

By design, this allowed many stakeholders from across the state to present and participate in segments without travel. Attendees were able to catch the webinars live along with access to recorded versions after the session.

We are all standing on the edge of the ever expanding territory of web-based applications in a data driven world.  Demands for better, faster, more relevant and immediate information are driving us forward.  Some of us feel pushed forward, some pulled, and some go barreling ahead with zeal.  With the Data Summit, we went forward hand in hand.  We were one coordinated team trying something new, and we succeeded!”

By taking the leap using a virtual format and with the assistance, time, and energy from Decade Software, the CCDEH was able to bring a new online experience to their members. Hundreds of environmental health professionals attended the live webinar sessions and many earned continuing education units online.
