"The Madera County Environmental Health Department has used Envision from its inception. We’ve seen Envision and Decade Software Company, LLC grow exponentially; continually meeting the ever changing challenges of client needs and the comprehensive regulatory programs we administer. In the last two years, our department has experienced a 30% reduction in total department staffing, including 75% of our clerical/support staff, due to the economy and budget cuts, yet we still retain all of the programs we were administering with a full staff. 

Working Hard For Your Agency

Our ability to sustain the current workload is attributed in part to Envision; one of the strongest players on the team. As the Environmental Health Director, and with the loss of key administrative support personnel, I rely heavily on queries and reports from Envision to perform management and financial budget activities. Recently, I was able to use this information to successfully demonstrate to our Board of Supervisors staffing to service level statistics and avoid more drastic budgetary consequences. 

Additionally, all of our professional staff has been trained to perform those basic financial functions previously performed only by support staff; this has resulted in some positive benefits. Customer service was maintained, if not enhanced; there was minimal training required; professional staff became more engaged and, therefore, their satisfaction and commitment to using Envision increased.

Expect Excellence

Being part of a Resource Management Agency with other departments, we’ve experienced using other data system programs as required by those departments.  Our initial response is to expect similar productivity and vendor response that we have experienced with Envision and Decade.

Envision and Decade continues to be head and shoulders above those other programs both in product and service. In fact, staff from our Auditor-Controller and Treasurer Departments were impressed with the level of financial accounting we are able to perform when they assisted us with an internal audit. With the exception of these departments, I’m not aware of any other County department that has the capability of tracking department specific programs and financial accounting all-in-one at the high level that can be achieved using Envision. We look forward to migrating to EnvisionConnect this summer/fall."
