"For more than 10 years, the Ventura County Environmental Health Division has partnered with Decade Software to handle its data management and accounting needs. The partnership started with our Food inspection program and has gradually increased to encompass virtually all of the programs that the Division implements as well as annual invoicing and permitting of various regulated facilities.

In addition to the use of the Envision and EnvisionConnect software to accomplish above, the Division has used Decade’s services to provide additional services including public access to Food facility inspections and backflow device testing records.

Our most recent partnership involved the ability of backflow device testers to directly access and print test forms from our website. This replaces a much less efficient system where test forms were printed in our office and mailed out to device owners; who then sent them to their tester of choice. The forms were frequently lost or became almost illegible due to multiple fax runs. The implementation of this project has received the praise of device testers and has saved the Division an average of 1,500 pages of printed materials per month.
